Across the world, billions of underserved people struggle to gain access to healthcare, education, and employment – human cornerstones.
Nicaragua is no exception.
* Dental services and oral health awareness don’t exist in rural areas, which catalyzes chronic disease. The hospital leadership told us this was their top challenge. We listened.
* Too many girls of low income families struggle to pursue an education past high school, facing steep barriers to a future outside the home.
* Differently-abled people, those with intellectual and physical disabilities, live in the shadows of an increasingly weakening economy that is not setup to include them.
